Privacy Policy

The short version Beach Volley Cam does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers. Everything the app records — video, audio, scores, team names — stays on your device, under your control.

Who we are

Beach Volley Cam is an iOS and watchOS app for recording beach volleyball matches as per-point video clips. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. It applies to the Beach Volley Cam iPhone app, the Apple Watch companion app, and the use of a second iPhone as a remote control.

What we collect

Nothing. Beach Volley Cam has no backend, no user accounts, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, identifiers, or any other data. Nothing you do in the app is ever sent to us — we have no servers to send it to.

Data stored on your device

The app creates and stores the following, entirely on your iPhone:

Video and audio recordings of match points, captured with your camera and microphone.
Match data — scores, sets, serve order, team names, and timestamps.
App settings, such as a previously paired remote device, stored locally so devices can reconnect.

All of this lives in the app's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. Deleting a match in the app permanently deletes its recordings, and deleting the app removes everything.

Permissions the app asks for

Each permission is used only for the feature it enables:

Camera — to record match point videos.
Microphone — to record audio alongside match video.
Photos (add only) — to save exported match videos to your Photos library when you choose to export. The app can only add videos; it cannot read your existing photos.
Bluetooth — to connect a second iPhone as a remote control for recording and scoring.
Local network — to transfer video clips and match recordings directly between your own devices over peer-to-peer Wi-Fi.

Device-to-device communication

Beach Volley Cam can connect your iPhone to an Apple Watch or a second iPhone acting as a remote, and can transfer a recorded match to another iPhone you choose. These connections are direct, device-to-device links (Apple Watch connectivity, Bluetooth, and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi). The data exchanged — recording commands, scores, and video files — travels only between the devices involved. It never passes through the internet or any server.

Sharing and exporting

When you export a clip or match, you decide where it goes — your Photos library, Messages, or any app you pick from the share sheet. Once you share a video to another app or service, that service's own privacy policy applies to it.

Purchases

Subscriptions and free trials are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and no purchase information is sent to us. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised statistics (such as download counts), which contain nothing that identifies you.

Children

Beach Volley Cam does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, we will update this page and the effective date above. Because the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
